New Mexico Based Firm Recognized by Nation’s Largest PR Organization for Balloon Fiesta Social Media Efforts

The Garrity Group Public Relations has been honored with the Bronze Anvil Award by the Public Relations Society of America. This is  the second PRSA Bronze Anvil for the firm; the award acknowledges the team’s work for the 2013 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta’s social media tactics.

The Garrity Group was recognized for its excellence in execution in the social media category (Associations/Government/Non-Profit Organizations sub category), for its execution of social strategy during the 2013 event. The Garrity Group increased the Balloon Fiesta’s virality by generating over 53 million impressions across multiple social networks.

The Public Relations Society of America Bronze Anvil Award recognizes outstanding public relations tactics. For over 40 years the Bronze Anvil Awards have celebrated individual items and components that have made various campaigns and programs highly successful. This year’s competition drew a total of 734 entries. Of those, only 52 organizations were selected by the judges to receive the Bronze Anvil.
